I'm sure that you've seen the 'Keep Calm and Carry On' posters that have been cropping up in home decor/t-shirts/mugs/and just about everywhere...Well the bookstore in the UK, Barter Books that discovered the WWII propoganda poster years ago and led to the popular slogan revival and re-creation, released an App for iPhone and iPad. It allows you to create your own 'Keep Calm' posters. Best part, it's Free!! That's right, free. So, I've been having a bit of fun making my own posters. Here's some of the results.

Weekend Warrior? I think not...
Well, I've been uncharacteristically productive this week. This was meant to be a week for vacation, but that was canceled. However, I had planned to run around Milwaukee and see some sites. Silly little me, that definitely didn't happen after I participated in the Whitewater Alumni Tennis Tournament. Had a great time there until 2 hours in when I twisted my knee. Now, I have chronically bad knees, however I've never ruined them quite like this. Inflamed--a given. Range of motion disrupted--uncharted territory. So, needless to say, I have spent the last four days cooped up in my house, icing, elevating, and popping Ibuprofen. So, here's the results of my captivity. I'll be visiting my favorite family in Des Moines this Friday and bringing gifts for the cutest little lady there!
I also finished another quilt that will be for sale on my Etsy site, CozyCrafts, so check it out!

I'm feeling ambitious...
Well, it's been a LONG time since my last post here. I've finished four projects--three quilts and one pillow case, since my last post. One quilt was a Christmas present for my Dad, another an upcoming gift for a baby shower, and finally one for me to sell on Etsy. These will be posted below. I'm also starting on another quilt that I can't decide if I'll sell or give as a present. Everyone around me is having babies, so it's a bit much to keep up with! ; ) Not that I mind. another recent development has been the addition of a walking foot to my sewing machine!!! SUPER HAPPY! Makes my quilting so much nicer. The next thing I'll get will be a darning foot attachment so I can do cute, free-motion quilting.
